About This Campaign

Although we are starting to see improvements, food insecurity continues to be a problem in Arizona. Families with children, fixed income seniors and the disabled are vulnerable due to job loss, limited income options, illness, and poverty. Combined, United Food Bank and Waste Not have been working on this problem for 35 years. Realizing that we could do more, together, our two organizations have forged a historic strategic collaboration so we can get more food, to more people, more efficiently.

Over the next year, we invite you to watch as we work on innovation, collaboration, and logistics.
There is plenty of food. How do we know? Together, our organizations rescued over 8 MILLION POUNDS of food that would have gone into landfills.
What did we do with that food? Our staff, working with hundreds of volunteers each month, inspected, sorted and distributed that food to our more than 200 partner agencies in Arizona so they could get it directly to the families who need it.

Even though our combined resources will allow us to deliver more food at a lower cost, we still need paid, professional drivers and big refrigerated trucks that need diesel fuel and lots of maintenance to keep on the road.
Your gift to either United Food Bank or Waste Not keeps those trucks rolling so we can continue to attack food insecurity in Arizona. With your financial contribution, we will be able to FEED AZ!
United Food Bank

Campaign to Support United Food Bank

United Food Bank was organized in 1983 as a nonprofit joint venture among East Valley cities and their respective United Ways to gather and distribute food to organizations that help our neighbors in need. United Food Bank has since become the key provider of food resources to agencies and community groups in the Greater East Valley and Eastern Arizona who feed thousands of men, women and children 365 days a year. United Food Bank is a member of Feeding America, a national network of over 200 food banks that provides connections to national food companies and other important resources.
